Práticas de Solfejo da tradição Sacred Harp Singing

Este trabalho se debruça sobre a antiga tradição estadunidense de canto em harmonia, que se desenvolveu baseada num sistema de formatos geométricos atrelados à escala diatônica chamado de Sistema Fasola, cujo nome faz referência à repetição das notas Fá, Sol e Lá nele contidos. O canto em conjunto a partir dos formatos geométricos é chamado de Shape-note Singing e a tradição que se originou a partir desta prática é centralizada na coletânea de canções The Sacred Harp, que originou o Sacred Harp Singing. A bibliografia referente à esta tradição será exposta com o objetivo de demonstrar as possibilidades de aprendizagem musical derivadas da tradição, um vislumbre da prática e o incentivo ao solfejo pelo sistema.
