Atitudes, crenças e comportamentos de adolescentes em relação ao potencial para perda auditiva por exposição excessiva à música

Resumo

Este artigo é uma revisão de escopo, parte de um estudo mais amplo voltado para adolescentes, que incluiu a análise da prevalência de perda auditiva por exposição excessiva a ruídos recreacionais, a análise de crenças, atitudes e comportamentos em relação ao risco de perda auditiva por exposição à música em intensidade alta e frequência elevada, e a análise de medidas educativas para prevenir ou mitigar perda auditiva real ou potencial. Os artigos selecionados provieram de buscas no Google Acadêmico e nas bases Web of Science, PsycInfo, Scopus e PubMed, excluídos artigos sem revisão por pares, literatura cinzenta, anteriores a 2010 e em línguas que não inglês, espanhol e português. Os estudos sobre conhecimento, crenças e atitudes em relação a comportamentos de risco mostraram que mesmo tendo conhecimento sobre danos potenciais ou reais à saúde auditiva, a adesão a comportamentos de proteção de danos por exposição excessiva é limitada.
